The Pokémon franchise has introduced hundreds of items over the years, but some of the most interesting have never been available to players.
While there have been an immense variety of items available in Pokémon games over the years, there have also been several cool items developed that never made it into the final products. Of course, items aren't the only things to be left behind in development; entire beta Pokémon have gone unused in the past, for better or worse.
4 Lock Capsule The Lock Capsule is a particularly intriguing cut item, due to the fact that its development seems to have been restarted and then canceled once again after its initial conception. The Lock Capsule was originally a sealed container intended for Mystery Gift distribution in Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, although this version of the item has no surviving in-game effect.
In Black and White, Kyurem is encountered inside Unova’s Giant Chasm during the postgame. When the player approaches the pond at the center of the chasm, the area is abruptly blanketed in snow, providing access to Kyurem’s cave. If the God Stone had been implemented, then it may have been necessary to bring it to the Giant Chasm to trigger a similar event.
