A pair of police cruisers collided while chasing a robber in Atlantic City on Friday, police said.

Two Atlantic City police officers were injured Friday when their patrol cars collided as they chased a robber on city streets, authorities said.

Both officers were hospitalized following the 6 p.m. crash at the corner of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard and Pacific Avenue, Atlantic City police said. After the two police cars collied, one hit a traffic light that fell and struck a third vehicle. No one in that vehicle was hurt. The robbery occurred on the 100 block of Park Place and the suspect escaped. Additional information about the robbery wasn’t immediately available.
