Changing it was for the better.
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction is packed with iconic lines and scenes, but one, in particular, would have had a completely different effect on the audience as it was almost a lot more graphic in two different ways. Quentin Tarantino has become one of the most respected filmmakers of his generation, but he has also earned a place as one of the most controversial ones.
Despite its themes, Pulp Fiction only has seven deaths, but they were graphic and shocking enough to cause controversy. One of the most memorable and shocking deaths in Pulp Fiction was Marvin’s , an informer of Vincent and Jules who was at Brett’s apartment in the first segment, led by Jules and Vincent.
Marvin’s head exploding after being shot isn’t the only change that his death scene went through in Pulp Fiction. The scene not only went through changes in post-production, but also while filming, and Marvin’s death was almost slower and more painful, and would have also had a direct impact on Vincent and his reception by the audience.
