THE trial of former deputy prime minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi will proceed after the High Court today dismissed his application to challenge the constitutionality of the 47 charges against him. Justice Collin Lawrence Sequerah ruled that the issue of constitutionality of the charges under the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009 and the Anti Money Laundering, Anti Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001 was premature as the trial has not started.
