KUALA LUMPUR: yumeat, a new brand for plant-based food alternatives, debuts two sustainable, nutritious yet delicious plant-based options made for the local palate - the yumeat plant-based luncheon and yumeat plant-based minced meat.

It provides delicious innovation that can cater to the palates of flexitarians, meat-eaters, taste explorers, created to meet the rising demands of health-conscious and foodies with concerns about climate change.The brand’s plant-based alternatives are formulated for the local palate.

“Malaysians are eating better with increased awareness and growing preference for plant-based food,” said marketing manager of A. Clouet Co. KL Sdn Bhd, Teoh Wei Ling. Made with soy and wheat for guilt-free indulgence, yumeat luncheon contains seven times more fibre, 23% less sodium,and 53% less fat than the average meat alternative.All yumeat products are cholesterol-free and certified halal by the Islamic Development Department , moreover selected products are high protein.

Its products are also free of hormone, antibiotics, monosodium glutamate , genetically modified organisms and any preservatives. “We know that by 2050 the global population will rise to 10 billion. And climate change remains one of the most concerning topics discussed by the global leaders. yumeat believes that one of the most effective ways to reduce our environmental footprint is to look at what we put on our plates, “ said Denis Group chief executive officer, Fabien Reyjal.
