The 15-time major champion finished 47th in the Masters, but said completing 72 holes on the hilly Georgia course ranked among his greatest career achievements. The United States and the European Union led criticism of the Israeli police’s actions, after television footage showed officers charging the funeral procession on Friday of Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh and beat mourners. “I’ve gotten a lot stronger since the Masters,” Woods told a gaggle of half a dozen reporters during his nine-hole practice round at Southern Hills, Sports Illustrated reported. “The move into Formula E not only reflects McLaren’s commitment to EV (electric) motorsport but the aim to accelerate McLaren Racing’s sustainability journey and reach a new, more diverse global audience,” said McLaren. Woods said the Monday after the Masters “was awful” but on Tuesday he was back in the gym working to strengthen his leg. Twenty-one teams will be competing in the six-week league.

“So we went right back after it,” he said.  The Formula E world championship, launched in 2014, races electric-powered single-seaters in urban centres. In its statement, the police force said it had been prepared “to facilitate a calm and dignified funeral. “Everything is better.” Woods, 46, won the 2007 PGA Championship at Southern Hills for his 13th major title. — AFP You May Also Like.
