Sentul OCPD Asst Comm S. Shanmugamoorthy said on Friday, their personnel manning the counter at the Jinjang police station were notified by youths claiming that their mother had been hacked by their uncle at a house in Jalan Indah 10, Jinjang Utara.
“The woman was pronounced dead at the scene by an assistant medical officer from the Selayang Hospital,” he said yesterday.“The victim, who was in her 30s, had just entered the house after work when her elder brother ran amok and hacked her with a parang and an axe. “The suspect was upset over an ownership dispute of the house the victim and her family were staying in,” he said.Police seized the weapons used in the murder and the suspect is now under remand.“The body was sent to the Hospital Kuala Lumpur for a post-mortem.
“There were witnesses during the incident,” he said, adding that the case was being investigated as murder.
