Puad said before Hasni criticised his speech as Johor Speaker on Thursday , he should have checked the Hansard instead of quoting news portals."Hasni can check Hansard before making any comments. Actually, falling asleep in the House is considered as being in contempt of the House," said Puad in a Facebook post on Saturday afternoon.
Puad was quoted as reminding Johor assemblymen not to treat the sittings like a"sangkar beruk" and place the people's interest first. In response, Hasni, on Friday , said Puad shouldn't have used such words, as it is not befitting of a Johor state assembly Speaker. "In the context of his position, political reforms, strengthening the people's trust in democratic institutions and politicians are more important than playing up such 'derogatory' statements," said the Benut assemblyman, who also attached several screenshots of news articles in his post.

We just love to criticise, never to improvise. Politicians should ask themselves what can they do to make a positive difference, not talk down, insult and blame others. Treat it as an honorable job, not a mud-slinging sport.
