Noraini, the Parit Sulong MP, said she had contested against PAS for three terms but never held grudges against her political opponent.
She said that the main reason of the political cooperation was to"treat the wound" of the Muslim community, who she claimed had been hurt by the Pakatan Harapan government's many political U-turns."In the end, Umno and PAS have the same principle, which is to fight for the race, religion, and the country," she said at the Himpunan Wanita Penyatuan Ummah at Putra World Trade Centre on Friday .
The event saw PAS muslimat chief Nuridah Mohd Salleh sharing the stage with Noraini. Other top Wanita Umno and PAS muslimat wing leaders also attended the event."Recently, there were talks about scrapping the pension scheme for government servants. "When we raise our concern, they made a U-turn. This is as if to challenge all of the Muslim community.On Thursday , Public Service director-general Datuk Seri Borhan Dolah said new appointments in the public service next year might no longer be made under the permanent pension schemes, but would be replaced by a contractual scheme.
In response, the Congress of Unions of Employees in the Public and Civil Services Malaysia said the removal of permanent posts and pension schemes could deter the young from joining the civil service.
