KUMPULAN Utusan Melayu Berhad, syarikat akhbar yang bermula sejak akhir 1930-an, akan membuat pengumuman gulung tikar hari ini dan memberhentikan kira-kira 800 kakitangannya, kata beberapa sumber. Keputusan dibuat selepas Utusan tidak lagi dapat menanggung beban hutang yang terkumpul sejak bertahun-tahun, dianggarkan dalam lingkungan antara RM240 juta hingga RM340 juta.
