Pada 9 Ogos 2016, DUN Sabah meluluskan pindaan Rang Undang-Undang Perlembagaan Negeri Sabah untuk meminda Perkara 14 Fasal Perlembagaan Negeri Sabah bagi menambah ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri kepada 73, berbanding 60 ketika ini.
