Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob during a working visit to the Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia today. — Bernama: Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia is capable of developing defence products that can be commercialised according to market requirements, said Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

“UPNM only has a budget of around RM2 million to RM6 million, that is not enough to come out with its own products, so it needs to forge collaborations with private firms. Also present during the visit, which is to look at the main roles and activities of UPNM with Mindef and the Malaysian Armed Forces , were Mindef secretary-general Datuk Seri Muez Abd Aziz and Chief of Defence Force Gen Tan Sri Affendi Buang.
