PUTRAJAYA: Two localities will be placed under the enhanced movement control order (MCO) beginning Sept 24.

The areas are the Kampung Gangai Orang Asli village in Muallim, Perak and Kampung Rompon in Tambunan, Sabah.

The two villages will be placed under lockdown for 14 days until Oct 7, said the National Security Council. The council also announced that the enhanced MCO placed on eight localities nationwide will be lifted on Sept 23 as earlier planned. They are Kampung Pengalat Kecil in Papar, Kampung Lohan Ulu in Ranau as well as Kampung Ulu and Kampung Pasir Putih in Putatan, Sabah.

In Pahang, the enhanced lockdown on Kampung Batu 1 in Temerloh, Felda Keratong 8 in Rompin as well as Sungai Kiol Orang Asli village and Kampung Tekeh Orang Asli village in Jerantut will also be lifted.
