It is a good platform to help promote the Malaysian culture to people from other countries, says deputy minister

MyCorps volunteers would also be taught about Malaysian culture so that they can explain the country while overseas.

Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Steven Sim Chee Keong, said an athlete who is representing the country is actually a mini ambassador of Malaysian culture. “Apart from that, it is a good platform to help promote the Malaysian culture to people from other countries,” he told Bernama after a goodwill gathering with Malaysian students in Beijing at a breaking of fast at the Malaysian Embassy, tonight.

When asked on the content of the module, Sim said the ministry would discuss it with the National Sports Council and related agencies to look into the initiative in detail.
