Ketua Setiausaha Negara Datuk Seri Mohd Zuki Ali dalam kenyataan semalam memaklumkan Seri Paduka berkenan melantik Dr Mahathir sebagai perdana menteri interim, sementara menunggu pelantikan perdana menteri yang baharu selaras Perkara 43 Perlembagaan Persekutuan.
