Tourism Ministry extends licence fee exemption for six months

The Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry hopes companies in the industry will renew operating licences to ensure compliance with the existing legislation. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, December 31, 2021.

THE Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry has agreed to extend the licence fee exemption period for tourism companies that applied for renewal from January 1 to June 30, 2022. In a statement today, the ministry said the decision was made to assist industry players affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
