BINTULU, June 10 — Federal Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing today retained the post of Progressive Democratic Party president uncontested for another three-year term at its triennial general assembly .The post of deputy president was won uncontested by Tasik Biru State Assemblyman Datuk Henry Harry Jinep after Marudi state assemblyman Datuk Dr Penguang Manggil withdrew his candidacy.

“Whether we like it or not, during the campaign for the post, we would certainly say some things against each other. He said there is no point in fighting for the post as it will affect the stability of PDP as it is a small party.He also declined to hold the post of secretary-general but accepted the post of senior vice-president of PDP.
