MCMC dalam kenyataannya semalam berkata, di bawah Seksyen 305 Kanun Keseksaan adalah menjadi kesalahan untuk menyubahati perlakuan kesalahan membunuh diri oleh orang berumur kurang daripada 18 tahun. Sabit kesalahan boleh dihukum penjara 20 tahun dan dikenakan denda.

Baru-baru ini, rakyat Malaysia digemparkan dengan kematian seorang remaja perempuan yang membunuh diri selepas mendapat undian sebanyak 69 peratus untuk ‘mati’ di laman sosial Instagram.

Menurut Timbalan Ketua Polis Daerah Padawan Deputi Superintendan Merbin Lisa remaja berkenaan dipercayai mengalami masalah kemurungan.
