Tok Pa says RM77.3 billion subsidies will stabilise prices

Economy Minister Mustapa Mohamed says of the RM77.3 billion in projected subsidies, RM51 billion are for cooking oil, chicken, eggs, electricity, fuel and water. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, June 27, 2022.

Of the RM77.3 billion, RM51 billion are for cooking oil, chicken, eggs, electricity, fuel and water subsidies, he added. Mustapa said: “The government’s financial position would be better without the subsidies, but it took into consideration the needs of the people.”
