Tenaga Nasional Bhd has secured the approval for TNB Power Generation Sdn Bhd’s application for new generation licences for seven power stations, to be held by TPGSB pursuant to the proposed internal reorganisation.

“The Energy Commission has vide its letter dated Sept 24, 2020, notified that the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources has approved TPGSB’s application for new generation licences for the seven power stations,” it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia here, today. The approval is subject to TPGSB increasing its issued and paid-up capital to at least two per cent of the asset value of the power stations within a period of six months from the date of issuance of the generation licences.
