washington Perdana Menteri Australia Scott Morrison pada Selasa berkata, tiada bukti bahawa aplikasi TikTok yang dimiliki oleh syarikat China menyalahgunakan data peribadi penggunanya.

"Sudah terlampau banyak benda memalukan di TikTok, tetapi ia biasa untuk media sosial seperti itu," katanya sambil tertawa menerusi telesidang pada mesyuarat Forum Keselamatan Aspen di Colorado.

Bagaimanapun katanya, rakyat Australia perlu lebih berhati-hati dalam menggunakan TikTok dan media sosial lain termasuk yang dimiliki oleh Amerika Syarikat. Katanya, ia berikutan aplikasi seumpama itu boleh mengumpul data pengguna dan pelanggan dalam skala yang besar.Ia merujuk kepada keperluan untuk syarikat China itu berkongsi data dengan perisikan negara, jika diminta berbuat demikian.Presiden Amerika Syarikat Donald Trump sebelum ini dilaporkan memberi tempoh enam minggu kepada TikTok untuk menjual operasi perniagaannya di AS kepada syarikat negara itu.Langkah itu dikatakan diambil atas alasan keselamatan.

Sehubungan itu, beliau memberikan sehingga pertengahan September ini untuk pemilik TikTok, ByteDance untuk memuktamadkan urus niaga berkenaan.
