PETALING JAYA: Malaysia were beaten 1-0 by Australia in the Asean Football Federation Under-19 Championships final at the Thong Nhat Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City on Monday .

Lachlan Brook was Australia’s hero as he scored the winning goal for the Young Socceroos in the 79th minute. This was Australia’s fifth title from nine appearances, as they’ve won the tournament in 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2016. Malaysia were the defending champions of the tournament. Last year, the Young Tigers beat Myanmar 4-3 at the Sidoarjo Stadium in Indonesia.
