Rusidah Jisrin, mother of one of the students, said she had yet to get over the shock of having her rented home destroyed by the landslide but was glad that they were safe and alive. "I am touched and just happy that so many people care, even though I know many have problems of their own during this pandemic," she said. She said although the house was not hers, she lost many personal and household items and her children's digital gadgets for online classes.
