Menteri Besar Perak, Ahmad Faizal Azumu berkata, ‘tanah adat’ yang tuntut oleh Orang Asli di negeri itu merangkumi Hutan Simpan Air Chepam di Hulu Perak, Hutan Simpan Piah dan tanah kerajaan Mukim Kenering, Daerah Hulu Perak.
Katanya, walaupun kerajaan negeri amat bertimbang rasa dalam mengambil apa-apa tindakan ke atas segelintir penduduk Orang Asli yang meneroka tanah secara haram, namun pihaknya perlu bersifat tegas dalam melaksanakan undang-undang. Beliau bercakap kepada pemberita selepas merasmikan sambutan Hari Wesak 2019 anjuran Persatuan Penganut Agama Buddha Temoh di sini, hari ini.
