PETALING JAYA: On the eve of being charged for misappropriating RM1.2mil, Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul RahmanSyed Saddiq said that he had been receiving threats for a year and it has been recently renewed as Parliament is set to reconvene on July 26 for a five-day special sitting.
Syed Saddiq is expected to be charged at the Kuala Lumpur High Court on Thursday , after which he said he will make a revelation via a live conference on Facebook and Instagram at 8pm. Malaysian United Democratic Alliance secretary-general Amir Abd Hadi also confirmed that Syed Saddiq will be charged in court for a fundraising dinner event in 2018 to raise funds for the 14th general elections.
Amir claimed that the court charges were an attempt to pressure Syed Saddiq into supporting the Perikatan government when Parliament reconvenes and before Budget 2021 is tabled.

Funny d phrase 'politically motivated' is commonly used when politicians, particularly d higher profiles ones, face charges. It frighteningly infer that corrupt politicians can njoy immunity if simply crawl into a hole & stay quiet.
