THE Sultan of Johor, Ibrahim Iskandar, has requested all Muslims in the state to conduct special prayers or ‘solat hajat’ to seek divine protection and safety from the Covid-19 threat. Johor Islamic Religious Department director Md Rofiki A. Shamsudin said the sultan had decreed the prayers be held at mosques, suraus, as well as at home.
