Subang Jaya mayor Datuk Johary Anuar says they have requested an order on the matter.

The Subang Jaya City Council is seeking retrospective approval from the Selangor government legal department to proceed with the implementation as scheduled."The period for implementation is near, so if the parking limit is not gazetted, we will face legal problems.

"So, our legal adviser has written to the state for a retrospective approval to implement it first and gazette it later."We are still waiting for a reply," he said at the full board meeting. It was reported that the move to impose a time limit on the city council’s street-parking facility was to prevent it from being hogged by workers in the area, and improve its availability for visitors instead.

Johary said although the proposed parking-limit was for all its bays, the implementation would be done in phases. He also said that the one-hour parking limit in USJ 10 for a maximum of two hours per vehicle that was already in force would be standardised with the rest of the area.
