Health authorities that monitored the situation there have found that there is an upward trend in cases and to date, 94 people tested positive from 598 screenings carried out on the residents at the locality.
In Sabah, Blocks 11 and 12 at Lorong 4, Taman Nuri in Sandakan will also be placed under enhanced MCO after nine out of 16 individuals who were screened tested positive. Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said relevant agencies had carried out a risk assessment on the two localities in view of the recent development concerning Covid-19 cases.
“Following the assessment, the government has agreed to place the localities in Kuala Lumpur and Sabah under enhanced MCO for 14 days until July 24, ” he said on Friday .This includes the enhanced MCO placed at Jalan Kubur and Kampung Segambut Dalam in Kuala Lumpur, PPR Taman Murni as well as Lorong 12, 15 and 16 Taman Fajar in Sandakan, Tawau Prison and staff quarters, Kampung Pukat Tanjung Batu Laut and Kampung Baru Pasir Putih, also in Tawau.
