PETALING JAYA: Two huge reticulated pythons were unearthed at a construction site in Kampung Gong Nangka, Terengganu, on Thursday (Dec 9).

The Malaysian Civil Defence Force said workers at the site were shocked at the discovery and had called them in.The 250kg reticulated python was about 5.8m long, while the other snake measured out at 4.2m.

In photos shared in the tweet, CDF officers could be seen trapping the snakes and moving them into a vehicle to be transported away from the site.The non-venomous constrictor is hunted for its skin, sold as pets and used in traditional medicine.Penemuan dua ekor ular sawa batik, masing-masing seberat 250 kilogram dan lebih 100kg, mengejutkan beberapa pekerja di sebuah tapak pembinaan di Kampung Gong Nangka.
