The Standard and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia (Sirim) has opened a new calibration hub in Sabah.

Kota Kinabalu: .Sirim Berhad Chairman Tan Sri Dr Ir. Ahmad Tajuddin Ali said the initiative was to support the recommendations and the needs of agencies and the industry in Sabah. “Our hub which is a subsidiary of Sirim, Standards Technology Sdn Bhd, offers services in calibration of electrical, temperature, pressure, mass and dimension.

“The creation of an innovative ecosystem for small and medium industries involves industrial research, technological and commercialisation development and market access service to uplift the growth of PKS,” he said.He added that Sirim, with more than 40 years of experience since its creation in 1975, is able to offer technology application and upgrading of productivity in various sectors such as manufacturing, oil and gas and related services.
