Blogger's lawyer writes to Lee Hsien Loong saying 'every cent' of the defamation damages had been donated by the people of Singapore. FMTNews LeeHsienloong

Singapore lawyer Lim Tean with a cheque for S$262,000 to pay defamation damages to Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.

The blogger’s lawyer, Lim Tean, said in a Facebook posting that his client, Leong Sze Hian had managed to raise the money through crowdfunding. In March, the Singapore High Court ruled that Leong’s sharing of the article amounted to publishing it even though he did not add any captions or commentary.In the letter, he said he wanted Lee to be aware that “every cent” of the amount had been donated by the people of Singapore.
