JOHOR BARU: For many families, the Malaysian Family Sale has helped reduce their food bill.

“Vegetables, such as kangkung and bayam, are priced at RM6 per kg compared to RM8 in the market,” said housewife Azizah Alias, 55, who visited the state-level Malaysian Family Sale at a hypermarket in Taman Daya here yesterday.

School van operator Noriah Yahya, 50, also said the Malaysian Family Sale has helped ease her finances as the goods are cheaper. Housewife Rohaidah Abdul Rahim, 55, who has three children and three grandchildren, said she mainly bought vegetables, mackerel and chicken at the sale.“These items are really expensive at other places.
