Pada 23 Jun lalu, Sultan Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar bertitah agar Sidang DUN Johor kembali diadakan pada 12 Ogos setelah ditangguhkan sementara akibat pandemik Covid-19 yang melanda seluruh dunia.

JOHOR BAHRU: Kesemua 56 Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri Johor disahkan negatif Covid-19 dan diberi kebenaran untuk menghadiri Sidang Dewan Undangan Negeri Johor esok.

Menurut beliau, kedua-dua wakil rakyat itu yang dilaporkan positif Covid-19 sebelum ini telah melengkapkan tempoh kuarantin mereka. Baginda juga dilaporkan berkenan untuk berangkat merasmikan Pembukaan Penggal Persidangan Keempat pada tarikh tersebut yang akan diadakan di Kota Iskandar. Sehubungan itu, Speaker DUN Johor, Suhaizan Kaiat memberitahu kesemua 56 ADUN dan pegawai serta petugas perlu menjalani ujian saringan Covid-19 sebelum Sidang DUN Johor kembali bersidang.
