IPOH: The senior citizen who was arrested for running amok in front of the Gopeng police station has been remanded for four days.

On Wednesday , the 61-year-old suspect had climbed on top of a police car while wildly swinging around a scythe and a machete.He also tested positive for methamphetamine and heroin.

The case was being investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code for committing mischief and causing loss or damage. The man will also be investigated under Section 90 of the Police Act, Section 6 of the Corrosive and Explosive Substances and Offensive Weapons Ordinance and Section 15 of the Dangerous Drugs Act.Article type: metered
