PUTRAJAYA: Kerajaan menyasarkan penubuhan lebih 500 buah kedai koperasi yang dijenamakan semula sebagai Coop Community Mart di seluruh negara dalam masa terdekat sebagai usaha meringankan kos sara hidup rakyat khususnya golongan berpendapatan rendah atau B40, kata Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
Turut hadir pada acara berkenaan ialah Menteri Pembangunan Usahawan dan Koperasi, Tan Sri Noh Omar serta Pengerusi Eksekutif Suruhanjaya Koperasi Malaysia , Zazali Haron. Mengulas lanjut, Ismail Sabri berkata, premis CoopMart itu bukan sahaja mampu menjana pendapatan ahlinya melalui dividen, malahan menawarkan barang keperluan pada harga rendah.
Pada masa sama, beliau berharap Angkasa sebagai koperasi induk dapat bersama dengan pihak kerajaan memperluaskan fungsi Coopmart dan menolong koperasi menceburi perniagaan. Kerajaan juga memperuntukkan RM10 juta di bawah Program Transformasi Ekonomi Gerakan Koperasi di bawah Bajet 2022 bagi memulihkan koperasi dan bangkit menjalankan aktiviti.
