Sarawak relaxes inter-district travel for civil servants, essential services

Sarawak Deputy Chief Minister Douglas Uggah says the state will abide by the national policy of limiting festive celebrations to 20 family members. – The Malaysian Insight pic, May 13, 2020.

CIVIL servants and people working in essential services no longer need to apply for the inter-district travel permit from the police if they have official duties in adjacent districts. They only need to show their department pass or a letter of instruction from their department, Deputy Chief Minister Douglas Uggah said today when announcing further relaxations to the conditional movement control in the state.
