Kedah Menteri Besar Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor says M Saravanan, the human resource minister, should be thinking of work and not holidays at this time.
Sanusi questioned MIC if it ever lobbied for a public holiday in the state when it was in federal power for 60 years, following the recent Thaipusam row. Speaking to FMT, Sanusi said Hindus were free to carry out prayers on their own, so long they meet SOPs set by the government. Kedah goes into MCO from tomorrow until Feb 4, due to a rise in cases. It was previously under conditional MCO.
“During BN’s reign in Kedah, there was no issue of Thaipusam holidays for 60 years. There was no noise from MIC and BN leaders were quiet.

SanusiMNor You dont ask question about what did MIC do? What are you doing? Behave like a MB for all the races not for one particular race. Or if you dont like other races step down at once
Why must th holiday b cancelled? But valid observation tho - what has MIC done about it for the past 60 years? & as far as ramasamy is concerned, he's just using it as a political fodder to remain relevant. dap didn't even make him Penang's CM even tho he was lim's 2nd in command
