Samsung to unveil the all new Odyssey Neo G8 and 2 other monitors for 2022

For 2022, Samsung has blessed us with 3 latest and greatest monitors, each aimed at a specific audience. Samsung is updating its Odyssey line with a 4K panel while still keeping the high refresh rate of its predecessor. They are also introducing a new monitor line for content creators that covers 98% of the DCI-P3 colour space. Finally, for those who loved the concept of the Smart Monitor, you will be glad to know that Samsung has shown it some love by adding new handy features.

In addition, we do not know if the number of local diming zones is the same as the Neo G9 at 2048 or more.The next monitor in the line up is the new Samsung Monitor M8 which is the second generation of Smart Monitors. To recap, these are essentially monitors with Samsung’s Smart TV operating system built in. This allows you to use the display with a PC during work and watch a movie on Netflix through the app on the Smart Monitor when you want to chill.

Other amenities include a movable magnetic SlimFit Cam that can be used in conjunction with a PC or through the built-in video calling apps, like Google Duo as highlighted by Samsung. The resolution of the camera is currently unknown, but judging by Samsung’s claim of the camera providing “crystal-clear video calls”, it’s safe to assume it’s at least 1080p. It also comes with a nifty USB Type-C port which supports data, audio, video and provides up to 65W of power to the connected device.
