Strapped for cash with nowhere to live and with minimal funds, all hope seemed lost for Diana Li, until throngs of gracious Samoans stepped in. FMTNews Samoa TheOtherHundreds

Despite her desperate situation, many families such as this, hosted Diana for three months while she was stranded in Samoa.

Having only planned to just spend five days on the island, Diana was in a tough spot, with almost no cash and no way to retrieve funds from her bank accounts. Panicking, she wrote on Facebook that she was stuck and needed help.Two local children took her to a waterfall, where they were able to enjoy themselves, even though they did not share a common language.

Diana’s bus tour guide and her motorcycle guide showed her around Apia and the rest of the island for free.
