KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Bersatu wants police to act against state PKR Youth chief Raymond Ahuar for allegedly claiming that a mother was selling her children due to financial constraints following the lockdown.

Sabah Bersatu Armada vice-chairman Rafie Robert said that it was clear, from the police clarification on the case, that the matter was about drug-related arrests and had nothing to do with a mother selling her children due lockdown hardships.

Rafie claimed the PKR leader was trying to gain political mileage from the arrests where police detained the drug-addicted parents and rescued their three children in the interior Keningau district on May 22. He clarified that it was a drug-related arrest with the children handed over to the Welfare Department.

However, on June 11, police detained the woman after tests found her positive for consuming methamphetamine.
