In the 6.40am incident, 62-year-old Mukhtar Bahari was said to be clearing rubbish at the back of the vehicle which was parked by the roadside, when a red-coloured Perodua heading towards Jalan Macalister went out of control and rammed into the truck.
The truck driver was reportedly pinned between both vehicles and sustained serious bodily injuries on his left side.The car driver, a female, reportedly fled the scene following the incident.The case is being investigated under Section 43 of the Road Transport Act 1987 for careless and inconsiderate driving.
