AxiCorp chief global market strategist Stephen Innes attributed the better performance to the weakening greenback and stable global oil prices. Global crude oil prices rallied following a significant drop in the US crude inventories, as production for May reportedly dropped by 1.99 million barrels per day, the steepest monthly decline since at least January 1980.
