Kuala Lumpur City Hall says there are currently more than 2,000 active licences for the sale of alcohol in the city.
He said it would adversely affect the food and beverages industry, hotels, tourism, retailers and “relevant manufacturers and service providers”. “We just want to cap the number of premises selling liquor in the city,” he said. “Presently there over 2,000 active licences.”
No one in their sane mind would keep drinking until intoxicated at home or at friend's home but at those 'Happy Places', with the sexy waitress, liveband or even GROs, one could drink idiotically. They can afford to pay at such places, the fine imposed is just peanuts.
Look at the crazy expensive price they charge compared to buying at hypermarkets or convenient store. Crazy profit margin, yet they keep enticing patrons to drink more. Where is the limit of greed?! Just close down all these 'Happy Place'! It brings sorrow to the innocent!
Again it's about the industry player's interest, they who are already rich. What they care about the life of a policeman or a food delivery man? The answer is nothing! They care only about making more money to feed their greed! They will encourage patrons to drink to death!
Demi integrity tutup sahaja perniagaan arak ini
Revoking liquor license due to drunk driving is a silly way of implementing the ban. It'll be detrimental for the country's economy. The problem here is the irresponsible drunkards not the alcohol.
PAS is pulling the string to get Malay Islamic vote but will this save the nation who needs sin tax more as Oil Tax fall below Belt line or Dose any one Dumb Dumber in PN is watching the RM revenue coming in much Lower than going out
Alcohol industry vs talibanisation
mirosroadsafety MOTMalaysia AnnuarMusa Liquor n license is just a small part of these fatalities. I see ministers n police are not even complying to rules, how is it going to be effective with the public? poorregulations poorplanning lackingefficiency
Talibanisation
mirosroadsafety MOTMalaysia AnnuarMusa There is no clear data available n ministers are too comfortable being driven in their imported cars with special escorts, n the fact that ministers don’t need to follow traffic rules, no one does.
mirosroadsafety MOTMalaysia AnnuarMusa Many road accidents are due to poor road planning n road condition, construction work, overloading trucks, poor public transport system, n most of all TOTAL lack of REGULATIONS. Not to mention the weight of corruption
MOTMalaysia mirosroadsafety AnnuarMusa Gov keep building highways n neglecting the safety of motorists. Drunk driving fatalities only contribute to 2% out of the thousands of deaths in road accidents in Msia every year
MOTMalaysia AnnuarMusa mirosroadsafety Msia has hundreds of thousands of road accidents every year n more than 50% of the road accidents fatalities involved motorcyclists. It is not about liquor license, it’s the risk of riding a motorcycle esp on highways
We can survive without alcohol, trust our Creator...
Harap TS AnnuarMusa tak berganjak walau seinci.
