Rescind liquor ban, former defence forces chief urges govt

THE rights of non-Muslims should be respected, former chief of the defence forces Gen Dr Hashim Mohd Ali said, while urging the authorities to rescind the ban on the sale of liquor. He said not lifting the ban will undermine the spirit of Rukun Negara, national unity and the cultural harmony and diversity enjoyed between Muslims and non-Muslims.
