Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob had announced earlier today, that the government would only subsidise up to RM150 per room for three-star hotels and below, and those who seek luxury accommodations must foot the bills themselves.“There shouldn’t be any complaints as all being quarantined are staying there for free, with meals provided,” he reportedly said.

He reportedly said that most hotels had also agreed to a standard fee to be paid for boarding, for the sake of the nation and as a corporate social responsibility .FMT reported Sabah Health Minister Frankie Poon as expressing confusion over who would be paying for the rooms at three hotels in the state.

I think hotels should be thankful at this difficult times. Either satisfy with RM150 or nothing due MCO

At least hoteliers have about 4,500 customers during MCO. It bring total income of RM675K compare to zero customer. It a kind of 'medical tourism' to break the chain of Covid-19 infection 😀🤓📈💰💰 DGHisham MKNJPM MyMOTAC KKMPutrajaya TourismMalaysia

That's better than nothing empty rooms

Well if the govt can only afford RM150, either they pay hotels or they pool that money and use it to convert govt owned facilities like halls and dorms to be quarantine centres. So, hotels are really looking at RM150 or RM0 tbh.

The government is always disgusting, never say something clearly. Always beat around the bush and blunders

Ooops the cat is out of the bag?

Gomen working ethics.

Hahaha not informed of RM150 yet happily provide access to rooms and food to those quarantined? Hello else your rooms are empty la duh!!

At that price, 3 star hotel with free breakfast n newspaper? Anything classier, have to self top- up, I guess.

Well get used to this kind of gov they never plan before act they act without thinking
