Why should the MM2H new requirements be repealed? What the heck? We only want rich foreigners and bona fide ones to be enrolled in MM2H. Malaysia isn't a playground for all and sundry foreigners, ok.

Malaysia is really becoming 'nuts' each day gone by...

Bye bye Malaisie, it would be much better for me to move out n stay in Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia or even Philippines... Cost much less, or pay a bit more but stay much comfortably in your neighboring Singapore.. 👍

This is bad news

If you had an income in retirement of RM40K a month and a loose RM1.5M lying about and were looking for somewhere to settle then Malaysia is going to be a long way down the list.

Realistically speaking, it is impossible to expect an ordinary foreign retiree to earn RM40k/mo to meet prerequisite. Based on simple math abysmally low interest rates, a retiree will need around a whopping RM48 million to earn a monthly income of RM40k.
