PETALING JAYA: Seven games in a month is taxing for any professional footballer especially when pride is at stake as well, but Selangor midfielder Brendan Gan is ready to take on the extra load to achieve success in the Malaysian Super League.

“My routine will not change much. I have quite a bit of recovery equipment which I use daily. However, they will be used in overtime during this busy period. I will also include regular massages and ensure I eat and sleep well. The Malaysia Football League have decided that this year’s Super League tournament, disrupted by the Covid-19 outbreak, will resume with only seven matches instead of the standard two-round, home-and-away format. Conditional training will resume in August and the Malaysia Cup will be a knockout competition.
