Record 973 new virus cases in Indonesia

INDONESIA’S Covid-19 toll has breached 20,000 after 973 cases were reported overnight, the highest single-day count since the country’s first infection was confirmed on March 2. Achmad Yurianto, the government’s spokesman on coronavirus matters, said the latest cases bring the national tally to 20,162.
