The legendary Mokhtar Dahari had always been known for his waltzing runs, ferocious shots and incredible drive to win matches. So it begs the question - Was he the best goalscorer in Asia?

THE legendary Datuk Mokhtar Dahari had always been known for his waltzing runs, ferocious shots and incredible drive to win matches. His shots were so vicious that he once broke the fingers of goalkeeper R. Arumugam during practice. So it wasn’t a surprise to see defenders and goalkeepers trembling whenever he had the ball.

Some even claimed that he scored 125 goals for the country, more than Portuguese legend Cristiano Ronaldo. What about Asia? Mokhtar was 20 goals short of Iranian Ali Daei. Daei is the record goalscorer in Asia with 109 goals from 149 matches.
