KOTA KINABALU: Pemimpin politik tempatan menggesa kerajaan meminda undang-undang yang menyekat pendatang asing tanpa izin memasuki Semenanjung Malaysia.
Amin berkata terdapat 1.1 juta pendatang asing tanpa izin di Sabah, berbanding penduduk Sabah iaitu 3.9 juta. Beliau berkata Sabah hanya boleh mengendalikan 100,000 pendatang asing. Amin juga berkata ketua menteri Sabah dan Sarawak memegang kuasa imigresen khas yang boleh digunakan untuk menghentikan aliran pendatang asing.
Beliau juga mencadangkan pengaktifan semula Border Scout yang terdiri daripada penduduk setempat sebagai ahli.
